How to prevent eye strain when using computer
As an IT-staff I am always in front of my laptop from 8AM to 12nn break, and 1PM to 5PM, Monday to Friday. To prevent eye strain, what I usually do is to take a break every hour, and close my eyes for 2 minutes, it will allow the eyes to relax the muscles, luckily my table is near the window so I can look to the window once a while, focusing on the trees, they said the color green is a cool color and will help your eyes to relax. I also change the color settings of color scheme and desktop background to more light colors. Exercising the eyes will strengthen the muscles that controls our eyes, one example and what I usually do is with eyes close breathe into diaphragm. Feel it expand as it fills with air. Continue for at least two minutes and then open your eyes, focus on an object then close your eyes again and imagine that object. This exercise helps to relax your eyes. It also balances mental focus with imagination.
